In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high shall break upon us,
to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace. (Lk 1:78-79)
Steer the course straight and true!
Don’t give up now.
It is still Advent — for several more hours.
This is the final day of preparation before the celebration of Christmas.
Because it is the final day, many people are going to be going crazy. The last-minute things to do for Christmas are upon them. There are going to be many people running like mad at the grocery stores, the malls, on the roads, et cetera.
Don’t be one of them.
If you have to be out and about today, remember that you are a Christian getting ready to celebrate Christmas and not a gladiator who takes no prisoners!
Be kind. Be gentle. Be courteous. Greet people with the greeting of the season: Merry Christmas. Let them know, by your words and deeds this day, that you belong to the Lord!
FAITH ACTION: If you run into anyone who is frazzled today, give them some words of comfort so that they can feel the peace and joy that the Lord wants them to have.
