Go to my brothers and tell them,
“I am going to my Father and your Father,
to my God and your God.”
Mary went and announced to the disciples,
“I have seen the Lord,”
and then reported what he had told her. (Jn 20:17-18)
We continue our celebration of the Octave of Easter today.
On this day, we read, in the Gospel, about Mary Magdalene going to the tomb and finding it empty. As she wept over the loss of the body of Jesus, she sees Him.
He tells her to go and announce to the Apostles that she had seen Him.
And that is exactly what she did.
We might be caught up in our own grief, our own worries, our own doubts, our own confusion from time to time. Yet, in it all, the Lord asks us to announce the Good News, to announce that He is with us.
FAITH ACTION: Are you feeling overwhelmed? Remember, God is with you this day. Try to remind others of that as well.
