Turning to the disciples in private he said,
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
For I say to you,
many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,
but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” (Lk 10:23-24)
Yes, our God is incredibly good and we have seen great deeds and heard wonderful news. What do we do with that, though? That is the big question.
When we have seen and/or heard great things, we were on “cloud nine”. However, after a while, we returned to our day-to-day lives and began to forget those great and wonderful things.
That is one of the sad realities of our human nature: the number of times that we “forget” God.
But, blessed are we for having been able to see and hear God’s great deeds.
What we need to do is make sure that we proclaim those deeds to others, for, indeed, there are many people waiting to see what we have seen and hear what we have heard.
Let us not deprive them of the opportunity to know what we know: God’s love for us.
