If you forgive men their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions. (Mt 6:14-15)
I often remind people that the Our Father is one of the most “dangerous” prayers that we could possibly pray.
Why?
Because we petition the Lord to forgive us. Not simply to forgive us; but, to forgive us in the manner in which we forgive others.
Do you know people who hold grudges? Do you know people who refuse to forgive? Do you know people who are hard on others?
If so, those people cannot hope for any kind of forgiveness since there is no forgiveness in their own hearts.
Are you one of those people?
You might consider making a change today.
FAITH ACTION: Are you aware of any grudge that you might be holding against another person? Make an honest attempt to let that grudge go. Forgive that person today.
