As your fellow workers, we appeal to you
not to receive the grace of God in vain.
For he says:
“In an acceptable time I heard you,
and on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is a very acceptable time;
behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Cor 6:1-2)
So often in our lives, we wait.
We think, “Tomorrow, I will be able to do what I want.” “Next month, things will get better for me.” “In five years I will be where I want to be professionally.”
We never seem to look at or appreciate the day.
There has been much said the past years about “living in the now.”
Too many people live in the past or in the future and they fail to acknowledge what is happening right now.
Now is a very acceptable time.
Now is the day of salvation.
We need not wait for a day to come when we are found to be pleasing to our God.
We are pleasing to Him right now, this very day, this very moment.
Cherish this moment.
FAITH ACTION: Sit with the Lord today and let Him tell you how special you are to Him right at this very moment.
