Turning to the disciples in private [Jesus] said,
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
For I say to you,
many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,
but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” (Lk 10:23-24)
We really are, you know. We are incredibly blessed.
Because we have seen what so many people had waited to see and heard what so many people waited to hear.
We will have no excuse when we meet our God face to face if we do not act upon what we have seen and heard.
For, we have seen God in all the people around us and heard God in the voices of all those who surround us.
God is not a concept. God is a reality. And He really dwells in our midst.
It is up to us to listen for Him and to recognize Him in the people with whom we interact on a daily basis.
FAITH ACTION: Is there someone you really do not care to be around? Think about that person and identify something good, something that you like about him or her. Celebrate the gift that person is. For, Jesus is in that person.
