Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
for he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty Savior,
born of the house of his servant David. (Lk 1:68-69)
Promises are made on a regular basis. Some people are extremely good at keeping promises. Others have a lousy track record.
There is one who has kept 100 percent of promises made: God.
When God promises, He delivers. It is as simple as that.
Our promises may come with deliveries. Those deliveries often have strings attached.
When God delivers on His promises, those deliveries are totally free and given unconditionally.
God promised to send a deliverer. He sent His only Son. We prepare to celebrate that tonight and tomorrow.
FAITH ACTION: Ask God to give you a sense of inner peace so that you may be prepared to celebrate Christmas this evening or tomorrow morning.
