“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” ~ Brad Henry
We’ve celebrated a lot of things this week: vocation, family, students, and community heroes. In one of those famous last-but-not-least moments, today is a special day dedicated to our wonderful teachers. Lunch for the staff will be provided by our Home and School Association. Kindergarten students will be presenting a special surprise for teachers.
The day will conclude with the traditional Teacher vs. Student Volleyball game. All students will be allowed to wear their gym uniforms today. That, in and of itself, is enough to generate excitement among the students. Whenever they can be out of uniform, they are in seventh heaven.
Parents are encouraged to write a note to their child’s teacher thanking them for the dedication and love they show the children.
Teachers sacrifice a lot to teach our students. It is common knowledge that teachers of private school systems generally get paid much less than their public school counterparts. If you know any of our teachers, please reach out to them and thank them. If you don’t know any of our teachers personally, would you at least say a prayer for them today?
FAITH ACTION: Pray for all teachers, staff, and administrators in Catholic school systems and ask God to reward them for their generous service to His children.
