No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. (Mt 11:27)
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reveals a deep truth.
No one truly knows the Son except the Father. And no one truly knows the Father except the Son — AND anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him.
What an awesome gift.
Because Jesus does will to reveal the Father to us.
It is up to us to allow that revelation to take place.
It cannot, however, if we are constantly drifting away from the Lord.
Jesus will not force Himself — or His Father — on any of us. He will gladly reveal.
Are we willing to ask?
FAITH ACTION: So often, our prayer is focused on ourselves. Today, as you pray, repeat to yourself: “I am willing to listen, Lord. What do you wish to say?”
