Sing to the Lord,
praise the Lord,
For he has rescued the life of the poor
from the power of the wicked! (Jer 20:13)
You’re not alone, in a couple of different ways.
You’re not alone because the Lord will always be at your side.
You’re not alone because others have gone through and are going through the same things you are.
That’s right.
If you are a believer — an active one — you will meet incredible hardship and frustration.
You are not alone.
Many have gone before you.
Many are with you.
Many will come after you and experience the same things.
The fact of the matter is that the world does not like those who follow the Lord. Our example is more than they can endure. They do not want to be reminded that they need to change.
Rather than changing, they go after the messengers: you and me.
Hold firm.
God knows what we are going through.
God will be there with us and for us.
It is something on which we can count.
Always.
