The Lord of hosts is with us;
our stronghold is the God of Jacob.
Come! behold the deeds of the Lord,
the astounding things he has wrought on earth. (Ps 46:8-9)
What has God done for you?
Don’t tell me, “Nothing”. Don’t even dare to try.
God has done incredible things for each and every one of us.
The first incredible thing that he did was fashion us in our mother’s womb. He breathed life into us and made us His own.
He watched over us as we grew: there for us in times that may have been bad and celebrating with us when times were good. He has never abandoned us nor will He ever abandon us.
He sent His only begotten Son to us so that He could deliver us from the clutches of sin and death.
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead so that He could restore life to us. His resurrection gives us hope that we, too, will rise at the end of our days here on earth.
What has God done for us?
Only everything! And each of our personal stories will verify that fact.
