Rise Up!

6 Jan

Rise up in splendor, Jerusalem! Your light has come,
the glory of the Lord shines upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth,
and thick clouds cover the peoples;
but upon you the LORD shines,
and over you appears his glory.  (Is 60:1-2)

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany, the time when Jesus Christ manifest Himself to the world through the representatives of the world, the Magi.

This is a reminder to us that we are called to be representatives of the Lord as well in all that we say and all that we do.

If that is true, it is also true that others are representatives of the Lord to us.

Jesus has manifested Himself to us through other people and other experiences.

That is a mystery that is so very profound.  We are called to manifest Him to others and others are called to manifest Him to us.

Have we seen Him? or have we missed Him?

FAITH ACTION:  Be the hands, feet, voice, and heart of the Lord for someone today.  And, while you are at it, let someone bring the Lord’s love to you this day as well.
