We receive from him whatever we ask,
because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
And his commandment is this:
we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ,
and love one another just as he commanded us.
Those who keep his commandments remain in him, and he in them,
and the way we know that he remains in us
is from the Spirit whom he gave us. (1 Jn 3:22-24)
This is a simple reminder to us this day: Love.
It may be simple to say.
It may be simple to write.
It, however, is far from simple to do.
We complicate our lives with so many things — and we do not need to do so.
God loves us simply and purely.
God wants the same from us.
Does He know it is not easy for us? Yes. That is why He gives the Holy Spirit to us.
The Holy Spirit will never fail us. All we have to do is ask for help and we shall receive it.
