Just Get It Done

“Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.”  ~ James Baldwin

We are easily swayed.  That is the sad truth.  There is a part of our human condition that appears to cave to peer pressure.  If enough people tell us that we should do something, we often do it, even if we think it might be wrong.  On the other side of that coin, if enough people tell us that something should not or cannot be done, we often do not attempt to do it, even if we know that it is right.

There are many people who say that the faith is passe, that it should not be practiced, that we should be concerned only with ourselves.  Sadly, there are those who are immature in the faith who will end up leaving the practice of the faith because of what those others have said.

Jesus knew the reluctance in the hearts of many who listened to Him.  He issued the invitation  to follow Him nonetheless.  Jesus knows the reluctance of those in today’s world.  He issues the invitation to follow Him still.  The question that remains is, will we?

FAITH ACTION:  Ignore those who say that living the faith isn’t possible or desirable and just do it today.
