Thus says the Lord:
This is what I commanded my people:
Listen to my voice;
then I will be your God and you shall be my people.
Walk in all the ways that I command you,
so that you may prosper. (Jer 7:23)
There is a reason for everything.
When we have a mishap, it is often because we failed to pay attention properly.
When things go well, it is because we remained focused and motivated.
God has a reason for asking us to embrace His commands: so that we may prosper.
God knows that we are a people who need focus, who need direction, who need someone to point the way. God is willing to do that for us.
He pointed the way through the message of the prophets. He pointed the way through His Son. He points the way through the many people He has placed in our lives.
Walk in His ways and prosper!
FAITH ACTION: Ask the Lord to give you the grace that you need to hear His voice speaking to your heart. Go where he commands.
