So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.
Through him the whole structure is held together
and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord;
in him you also are being built together
into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Eph 2 19-22)

We are not strangers.

We are fellow citizens.

That is so important to remember.

We often act as if we are not fellow citizens.

We often act as if we are the only ones who matter.

We insist upon it.

But, we are fellow citizens. We are brothers and sisters in the Lord. We should not just be saying that, we should absolutely mean that.

Jesus established a Church on St. Peter, the rock. We can trace our lineage through the years from that establishing moment. The message has never changed.

We are brothers and sisters.

We must live as one.

We must cherish one another.

We must live in peace.

When did that get derailed?
