Exercise Your Gifts

5 Nov

We, though many, are one Body in Christ
and individually parts of one another.
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us,
let us exercise them.  (Rom 12:5-6a)

We are all gifted people.

There is not a single person who is without a gift.

God generously showers His gifts upon us so that we may build up His body, the Church, while we are on this earth.

As we are all so very different, so, too, we have extremely different gifts.

If we do not utilize our gifts, our world will be poorer for it.

Some people know that they have a gift but they are afraid to use it.  Or they minimize it.  They say, “If I do not do this, someone else will take up the slack.”

That may not be so.

God gave us our gifts so that we could use them.

God has got a plan and His plan includes us:  Each and every one of us!

FAITH ACTION:  In quiet prayer this day, ask the Lord to reveal your gifts to you.  Then, ask Him to help you use those gifts to the best of your ability.
