I have learned many things from many people throughout the years and I am grateful to them all for what they have taught me. I have to admit that I have a certain scale of appreciation for those people as well. While thankful to them all, some of them taught in a manner that was rather rudimentary. I gained the knowledge that I needed to perform some task or other and that was good. However, on the other end of the scale, there were those who not only taught me but whose absolute thrill in sharing their knowledge invigorated me.
I felt privileged to be in their presence and honored to be taught what they had to share. Not only that, I wanted to share that knowledge with others as quickly as possible. Doing so helped me to recreate the joy and energy I felt when I was being taught. I would hope that was also passed on to the people that I taught as well.
We should all have a passion for the lives that we live as Christians. When people see us, they should be excited and want to share in what we have. Has a lukewarm Christian every won anyone over for the Lord? I doubt it. A lukewarm Christian probably has a hard time maintaining her or her own faith let alone sharing it with others.
But, a soul on fire for Christ? That’s a different story altogether. That type of person radiates love and peace. Others want to experience that as well and come to that person to learn more. A soul on fire for Christ wins over other souls. Be such a soul today so that you may inspire others.
FAITH ACTION: Let your love for the Lord so shine in your life today as to be an inspiration to others.
