The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. (Mk 4:24b)
In another example of “The Golden Rule”, we are reminded today that what we will is critically important. Jesus tells us that “the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.”
That should make some people excited.
I would think, however, it would make even more people worried.
Many people do not spend a great deal of time doing for others. Rather, they spend their days doing for themselves.
However, if we are stingy and selfish, we can expect nothing for ourselves.
It is only when we reach out to others, when we share our blessings, when we are generous, that we can hope for generosity and even more blessing to come our way.
