Will It Remain?

“Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day.” ~ Helen Steiner Rice

Today’s quote is something that can easily be turned into a repeatable mantra. Yes, peace on earth will come to stay when we all decide that we want peace and that we will live peace. Christmas is more than a moment, more than a day, or more than an octave. Christmas is a concrete reality and one that can be lived by everyone.

When we live Christmas peace, we pass that peace on to others. If they accept the peace that we are sharing, they are prone to live it and share it with others as well. As more and more people live the peace of Christmas, they will begin spreading that peace in greater and greater numbers until it permeates every part of our world.

Why don’t people live the peace of Christ? I think it is because they are afraid of being judged or being put down. I think they are afraid of being in the minority as many in the world do not espouse or live the values of Christ. Don’t be afraid to be outnumbered. While the world may have more people who reject Christ than who embrace Christ, the world is not stronger than Christ and He will win in the end.

Make sure that you remain a part of the winning team and, while you are at it, live as an enthusiastic team member. Who knows, you might just win someone over and bring them to the Kingdom with you. That is precisely what God wants from us. So, if you do, He will be well pleased with you.

What a happy, peaceful thought!

FAITH ACTION: Remember that you can make Christmas last by living Christmas peace and joy each and every day.
