Spiritual Power

“Physical strength can never permanently withstand the impact of spiritual force.”  ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

It has always amazed me the number of civil leaders that cling to prayer and the practice of faith.  Of course, there are many people who might claim that they are hypocrites because their actions are not always consistent with religious principles; however, how many times are our actions not consistent with our faiths as well?  The fact that they speak about the importance of prayer and the practice of faith is a big step in the right direction.

Physical strength is the be all and end all for many people.  However, physical strength can never withstand the impact of spiritual force.  For awhile, perhaps, strength might keep practitioners of faith at bay.  But it cannot do so forever.

The power of the Spirit is something that can never be assailed.  God is more powerful than anything on earth.  It would never do good for a person to ally himself or herself solely with worldly power.  What is needed is the practice of the faith.  That spiritual force will temper and inform physical strength.  If we allow that to happen, we can be unstoppable.

So, what is it going to be for you today?  Physical force or the practice of faith?  Go with God.  You’ll be a winner every time.

FAITH ACTION:  Begin your day with prayer and you will be able to keep the priorities of the day in focus.
