Do It Right

This might be a bit of an uplifting quote this morning but, if you think about it, it also lays down a challenge. Yes, we only live once. We’ve only got one chance at “doing it right”. It is important that we call that to mind each day so that we make the best decisions possible, speak the best words possible, and do the best for others. That is the hallmark of a Christian.
There are some people out there who say that we are destined to live our lives right and that, if we do not do so, we come back through reincarnation to get it right. If we fail to do so, we come back a third time. And a fourth time. And as many times as it takes.
Nope. We’ve got one shot, if you will. That one moment, our one life, is all that we will have. When our lives are over, we go to God to be judged for what we did or didn’t do while here on earth. If we want to live with God forever in heaven, we have to live our lives properly while here on earth.
If you are not quite sure how to accomplish that, look toward the great saints. Their stories are full of examples of what we can do and say in order to introduce others to the Lord. Follow their example and you will definitely find yourselves on the right path.
FAITH ACTION: In order to do it right today, dedicate all that you will think, do, and say this day to the greater honor and glory of God.
