31 Dec

Soon and very soon, we are going to see the king.
No more crying there, we are going to see the king.
No more dying there, we are going to see the king.
Alleluia, Alleluia, we are going to see the king.

This has been one horrendous year for the vast majority of us, if not all of us. The global pandemic has wrought havoc upon nations and individuals. We have done the best we could do in adjusting to the unique demands of circumstances throughout the pandemic and, to be honest, we do not know what yet awaits.

As we prepare to turn the calendar to a new year, we ask God for His blessings. We hope for better times, for good health, for peace and prosperity for all.

A classic part of the preparation for a new year is to make resolution for ourselves. If done properly, this can be a wonderful practice. I encourage you to consider resolutions for yourselves in 2021. Just keep these points in mind:

  • Your resolutions should be few. Too many ensure that none get accomplished.
  • Your resolutions should be achievable. Do not set yourself up for failure.
  • Your resolutions should incorporate spiritual growth.

If you plan accordingly, 2021 can be a year of promise and hope. Thank God for the blessings of last year and ask God to be with you at the beginning of a new year.

FAITH ACTION: Give to God all the pains and sorrows that were 2020 and ask Him to bless you with a year of blessing and hope.
