Give Back To God

5 Nov

Well for the man who is gracious and lends,
who conducts his affairs with justice;
He shall never be moved;
the just one shall be in everlasting remembrance.  (Ps 112:5-6)

There are so many people who give so little when it comes to helping others.

I’m not just talking money, I’m talking, even more, time and talent.

God has blessed us richly.

He gives us what we need — more than we need.

He only asks one thing of us.

To give it back to Him by faithfully serving others.

It seems that too many people in this world are too busy serving themselves.

Look around you.

Poverty is rampant. So many people are in need. The disparity between the elite and the downtrodden grows by leaps and bounds.

I often wonder how much more this ol’ world can take before its heart breaks.

Has God blessed you richly? Consider giving of your time, talent, and treasure to others.

The greatest thing about that? The more you give, the more you will receive.

God loves a cheerful giver and, when He finds someone willing to give freely, He gives that person even more so that His gifts can be dispensed.

The holidays are coming up.  They have the potential to be miserable for many people.  YOU have the potential to make their holidays — their very lives — more blessed.

FAITH ACTION:  Is there someone you know in need?  Help that person or that family out.  Don’t know anyone in need?  Contribution to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Salvation Army or a local soup kitchen.
