Will You Proclaim The Good News?

18 Oct

The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two disciples
whom he sent ahead of him in pairs
to every town and place he intended to visit.  (Lk 10:1)

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Luke.  Luke was a Gentile who wrote his Gospel for Gentile Christians.

We are all called to speak to the world from the perspective of our lives.  We inform the world about what the Lord means to us so that the people in the world can have the opportunity to meet the Lord where they are at as well.

The hard part is to actually get started.

Jesus sent seventy-two disciples out ahead of Him so that they could prepare the way.

Jesus sends us into the world so that we could prepare the way for the Lord.

We need to take that commissioning seriously.

Are you willing to proclaim the Good News this day?

FAITH ACTION:  Share what the Lord has done for you with someone today that they may feel invited to know the Lord.

[Please keep the bishop and priests of the Diocese of Gary in your prayers as we gather in convocation this week.]
