Salvation Comes From God

Lord, make us turn to you;
let us see your face and we shall be saved. (Ps 80)
Whenever I hear this psalm response, I always think of the song, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, by Simon and Garfunkel.
We always look for comfort in times of trouble.
Sometimes, as another saying goes, we look for comfort in all the wrong places.
After all, the only real place to find comfort is in the Lord.
“Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.” This is a simple mantra that could do us well.
In times of trouble, we need to ask the Lord for help. He is the only one capable of helping us 100% of the time.
