Seek Wisdom
In Wisdom is a spirit
intelligent, holy, unique,
Manifold, subtle, agile,
clear, unstained, certain,
Not baneful, loving the good, keen,
unhampered, beneficent, kindly,
Firm, secure, tranquil,
all-powerful, all-seeing,
And pervading all spirits,
though they be intelligent, pure and very subtle. (Wis 7:22-23)
Uh, huh.
You heard it.
Wisdom is all of that.
And more.
Because it is through wisdom that we value the things we believe through faith. It is probably the highest gift of the Holy Spirit and one that we, as Christians, need so desperately in this day and age.
The world has a way of making us question our values. It has a way of tempting us to embrace its values instead.
Through wisdom, however, we can steer clear of the pitfalls that await us in this world.
