Set Things Right

26 Feb

Come now, let us set things right,
says the LORD:
Though your sins be like scarlet,
they may become white as snow;
Though they be crimson red,
they may become white as wool.  (Is 1:18)

We can be pretty wretched people.  We can be pretty wretched to ourselves as well as to others.

In our wretched condition, we often “take no prisoners”.  We do everything that we can for our own benefit and care less for the plight of others.

If we live that way long enough, our world view becomes extremely jaded.  We begin to believe that there is no hope — for others or for ourselves.

And, therein, lies the beauty of our God.

No matter when we come to Him, if we “set things right”, God can and will forgive us.

No one is unforgivable.

That is important to remember.  Extremely important.

It is crucial because if no one is unforgivable, that includes you.  And me.

Let’s work on making things right with the Lord this day!

FAITH ACTION:  The Lord asks that we be sorry for our sins.  He also asks us to live a good, model, holy life.  Live that kind of life this day.
