Go Out To All The World
They went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them. (Mk 6:12-13)
Jesus sent His disciples out into the world, two by two, and told them to announce!
To announce that God is, indeed, a God of love.
To announce freedom.
To announce eternal life instead of eternal death.
To announce favor coming from God.
Jesus told His disciples to announce boldly and to preach repentance.
And, as they did so, they found that Christ continued working among them. The sick were being cured, the lame were walking, the dead were rising.
Jesus does not give us mere words. He accompanies our words with his power.
Do not be afraid. Go into your world and announce favor from God this day!
FAITH ACTION: Turn back from the things that keep you from God this day. Repent. Come to know His saving love. Then, as you come to know it, share it with others.
