How Special We Are In God’s Eyes
What is man that you should be mindful of him,
or the son of man that you should care for him?
You have made him little less than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
putting all things under his feet. (Ps 8:5-7)
Have you ever really thought about how special you were?
God has given us dominion over the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, indeed, over all creation.
With the dominion, though, came a challenge of stewardship.
We are to use the world that God gave us to rule wisely. We are to be responsible shareholders of God’s creation.
So many people treat creation like it is a gift that they could use however they want and have no regard for the people — or things — that they hurt.
With great gifts comes great responsibility
